[nebraska] Is It Legal To Be “let Go” For “having Asthma”
I got a job at a fairly popular food distributor. You’re required to pass a drug test and a physical. I took the physical and the guy asked the medical history questions, one of them was if I had any history of asthma… to that I said I had seasonal allergies as a child and was prescribed an inhaler, once, as a child….. I passed the drug test and physical according to HR, but she said they had to let me go because I have asthma (I do not have asthma, not as a child and not as an adult). I worked there one day but I’m pissed I was fired for something so stupid that isn’t even accurate. If there anything I can do legally, at this point I don’t care if I get my job back, I want to cause an inconvenience or maybe even get someone fired, I tried to make calls and inquire about the reasoning behind my termination but they all dodged my calls and acted very suspicious when I said I was gonna record them. I tried to get a letter of termination with the reason but they so far have refused. Location: Nebraska
