Attorney Misconduct
Location: Florida
Location: New York (offending party)
The transgression takes place on Facebook.
There is an attorney in a Facebook group who is harassing me. It's not a law related group.
He works at a law firm based out of New York. He has continued to accuse me of fraud after I explained a statement he misinterpreted, and then insinuated that I am a predatory danger to children, apparently because I voiced an opinion he didn't like (no part of which involves me interacting with children), and I really don't want this going unanswered because this is not acceptable behavior for a practicing attorney.
Because of people behaving similarly to him in the group in the past, I made sure to use a pseudonym after one guy tried to get me fired from my job – unsuccessfully, I might add.
I really want to report his behavior, but I don't want to jot my name down and open myself up to retaliation. While he does not presently have the information needed to actually identify me, my reputation is still tied to the pseudonym insofar as it is how I interact with people online.
What realistic recourse do I have against this guy?
