Car Sold Without Airbag.

Card image cap

Location: New Jersey.

I bought a 2023 Honda civic a month ago with 74,000 miles. Dealership promised some repairs because the car was making weird noises. I brought the car back to the dealership twice and they told me they “fixed” the issues when in reality they did not fix them.

I had to pay a private mechanic to replace a broken steering rack assembly, get new tires and replace battery. And 20 days after the purchase the airbag light came on. I took it to an authorized Honda dealer and they found that the airbag was missing. The showed me the car had been in an accident and it was not reported.

The dealership failed to diagnose those issues initially and repair them even though they gave me a dealership limited warranty. I didn’t buy the car “as is”.

I tried reaching out to them because I want a full refund and I want them to buy the car back and pay me for the repairs I paid out of pocket but they ghosted me.

I have record of everything because I’ve taken the car to three different mechanics already.

I’m thinking of contacting a lawyer.
