Child Custody / Visitation

Location: California . Hello all, recently I found out my daughters father has acquired 4 duis In the last year, I only recently found out because I was doing some investigating. I’m horrified, I have full legal and sole custody while he just gets visitation, we use to follow a schedule but we decided to come up with our own agreement and we submitted it to the court about 4 years ago. He isn’t super consistent but now I’m incredibly worried for my daughter’s safety as I had no idea about any of this. He picks her up for a few hours once or twice a week and drops her off on the same day anytime he sees her. I want to submit a modification so he can get supervised visits at a center, I’m not sure if I should let him know I’m doing this before I do it because at our last court visit years ago the mediator was truly babying him and saying I need to “help” him yet I’ve been the only parent raising her (I forgot to add he also has a active warrant in our county for missing his court date for a dui)
