My Sister Is In A Horrific Domestic Abuse Situation With A Man 10 Years Older Claiming Squatters Rights To Her Townhome. What Can I Do To Help?

My sister (21) has been dating Jake (30) since she was barely 18. She had my niece at 15 years old on her own (BD fled states) and she’s the strongest girl I know. Jake recently pulled a gun on her in her home and beats her mercilessly often, and chooses to make sure my niece sees the abuse. He’s beat up her dog on separate occasions, Cheated physically and online, threatened to kill her, stolen money from her plenty of times and can’t hold a job for more than a few months. He rarely pays rent to her, so she is stuck as a single mother taking care of everything financially. He also threatens to have her daughter taken from her constantly and calls her a bad mother for enduring his abuse. He has multiple DUIs and gets into about 3-4 accidents a year under the influence, sometimes with my sister and niece in the car. He has had an open DHS investigation on him before (I called on him) and they let him go. The police are being careless about this situation and she will die because of him, I feel it in my bones. The list of atrocities goes on and on… Currently she’s making her attempting to leave Jake for the 7th or 8 time. He is claiming squatters rights and even had the police back him up to her face recently. We both feel helpless. She is the only person on her lease to her home besides our father who lived there previously and sublets it to her now. Our father is wanting to kick them both out as to not “deal with court”. I personally want to kick his ass for being so careless about the man who has threatened his daughter’s and granddaughter’s life for multiple years now. Her and my niece would be homeless in the snow right before the holidays. I unfortunately don’t have the resources to help her myself right now. What I do have is plenary of photo and video evidence. I just want him gone. What can we do? Please help me save my sister. ❤️‍????
