Wellnessspace Brands Launches Dry Cold Plunge Machine
The PolarWave Dry Plunge offers a new way to take advantage of the benefits of cold therapy while removing water from the equation
As contrast therapy surges in popularity, WellnessSpace Brands has innovated a new way to take advantage of the chilly benefits, while removing water from the equation entirely.
The wellness and recovery brand behind products like the HydroMassage and RedZone Sauna has officially unveiled the PolarWave Dry Plunge, which delivers the benefits of a full-body ice plunge in a completely dry environment.
With the PolarWave, WellnessSpace Brands is hoping to eliminate the installation, maintenance and sanitation upkeep gym and club operators face with cold-water therapy options like cold plunges. The PolarWave boasts convenient installation, with no plumbing or sanitation needs, nor downtime between users.
“The invigorating sensation you feel in a cold plunge is undeniable, and it’s the reason why so many people love it,” said WellnessSpace Brands founder and CEO Paul Lunter. “However, after speaking with many operators about traditional cold plunges, we saw the need for a more convenient solution, and that was the genesis of this innovative new technology.”
The fully self-guided sessions range from three to seven minutes, simulating the combined effects of full-body cold immersion and a float-like sensation — all while the user stays fully clothed and completely dry.
Users can also adjust the temperature in the arm and neck regions to their liking and activate an optional compression feature in the arms and legs.
Cold therapy has been shown to have numerous health benefits, including evidence of anti-aging at the cellular level, improving mental health and performance, increasing metabolism and boosting muscular recovery.
WellnessSpace Brands joins Am-Finn, a sauna and steam room brand, in innovating unique cryotherapy solutions.
Am-Finn recently unveiled its latest cold therapy tech, the Frost Locker — an enclosed, temperature-controlled room (at 36 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit) that offers the benefits of cold therapy while avoiding the extreme discomfort or maintenance challenges of water.
