So I have chronic migraines and intermittent FMLA leave. I have no way to track what my employer has used as leave on our payroll app and they only have to give me general updates once a month. I assumed they’d warn me if I was close to running out. I spoke up about them not caring about our safety in a meeting and after that within the next couple business days I got an email that said I was out of my FMLA and to have a meeting with them. They said my only option was to have my doctor sign a return to work paper and then they’d give me part time with no benefits. I’m currently full time with their insurance. This return to work would be a lie and my doctor won’t sign it of course. I don’t blame her. They have cut staff so they’re short so if I miss work they can say I’m causing “undue hardship” because they aren’t hiring people like they should. Anything I cab do? This is retaliatory but I don’t have enough documentation and HR is NOT on my side. They’re the main issue.
