Revocation Of License 15 Years Later-texas

Card image cap

Location: Texas. I got a dwi in sept of 2009 in my personal vehicle. Started probation in November 2009 and finished up in November 2010. I did all the things required of me and have never been in trouble since. In fact i dont even drink alcohol anymore. Fast forward to yesterday, Dec 12, 2025 I received a letter saying my license will be suspended effective Jan 4, 2026 because i failed to complete an Education Program that was duly imposed as a condition of my probation. At first i thought it was a joke because it didnt say in the letter what the class was or what the offense was. I looked it up on the dps site and it says Failure to complete DWI Education program. I took that class in March of 2010. It says i have to show proof of taking it. I dont keep any paperwork for 15-16 years and im almost positive i handed it in to the probation office as proof i took the class. I hold CDL. So my question is do i need a lawyer? Do i go to dps to straighten this out? Do i go to the probation office? Would they even have record of this still? I dont need my license suspended. Its my livelihood. Thanks.
