Mail For The Old Owner Of My House (and Suddenly Now His Adult Son) Still Coming To My House
Location: Maine, USA
I bought my house 5 years ago in August. Since then, I have continued to get mail for the previous owner (whom I have attempted and failed to contact about it). As of a month ago I’ve had stuff start to be delivered for his son when neither he nor his father lived here (it had been a small office and was flipped and turned into a house). My husband and I have gone to the post office and filled out the paperwork they claimed would stop having their stuff mailed to my house 5 times now in the last year alone, Wednesday I literally have a letter from the Maine Revenue Service delivered (which we gave back to the post office and basically begged them to stop it).
My question is: what can I do now? I’ve done everything the way the post office claims I’m supposed to and I’m still getting mail for them both. I don’t imagine I’m allowed to just throw it away but I am getting so done with this
Edit to add (cause someone said it in the comments but for some reason I’m not allowed to properly view it): I’ve returned to sender everything that comes and more than once I’ve just had the item come back to my house the next time it’s sent out. I got a packet from Fish and Game for the son 4 times
