2026 Porsche Cayenne S Electric Arrives With 657 Hp And Ultra-fast Charging

Porsche is expanding its electric SUV lineup with the new 2026 Cayenne S Electric, a performance-focused model positioned between the standard Cayenne Electric and the range-topping Turbo variant.
Delivering significantly more power than the base model along with sharper styling and additional premium features, the Cayenne S Electric brings sports-car performance to Porsche’s next-generation electric SUV family.
Powerful Dual-Motor Performance
The Cayenne S Electric is equipped with permanent-magnet synchronous motors on both axles, producing a combined 400 kW (536 hp). When Launch Control is activated, peak output climbs to 490 kW (657 hp).
That extra power translates into serious performance:
– 0–60 mph: 3.6 seconds (with Launch Control)
– Top track speed: up to 155 mph
To maintain performance under demanding conditions, the rear electric motor uses direct oil cooling, a technology also found in the Cayenne Turbo Electric. Unlike conventional cooling systems, this method dissipates heat directly from current-carrying components, helping maintain efficiency during sustained high loads.
The rear axle’s pulse inverter uses silicon carbide semiconductor technology and processes currents of up to 620 amps, contributing to improved power delivery and efficiency.
Fast Charging and Long-Distance Capability
Like the other electric Cayenne models, the Cayenne S Electric features a 113-kWh high-voltage battery.
At compatible fast-charging stations capable of up to 400 kW, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in less than 16 minutes, making it one of the fastest-charging luxury electric SUVs on the market.
The SUV comes equipped with modern charging standards:
– J3400 (NACS) DC fast-charging port on the driver-side rear fender
– J1772 AC charging port on the passenger-side rear fender
– Porsche CCS DC Adapter included as standard equipment
Sharper Styling and Customization Options
Visually, the Cayenne S Electric receives unique styling cues that distinguish it within the lineup.
Highlights include:
– Model-specific front and rear fascia elements in Volcano Grey Metallic
– Body-color inserts and diffuser
– 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels
Customers can choose from 13 exterior colors, along with a variety of interior and accent packages for extensive personalization.
Performance Options for Enthusiasts
Porsche offers a range of optional upgrades aimed at enhancing both driving dynamics and comfort:
– Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) for improved cornering precision
– Porsche Active Ride suspension, which minimizes body movement for better ride comfort and handling
– Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with yellow brake calipers
– Sport Chrono Package
The Sport Chrono Package adds the Push-to-Pass function, temporarily boosting output by up to 90 kW (120 hp) for 10 seconds. It also introduces Track Mode, which prepares the battery and powertrain for optimal performance during track driving.
Exclusive Manufaktur Interior Style Package
Through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, buyers can choose the new Interior Style Package, the first of the brand’s curated “Director’s Cut” customization options for the electric Cayenne lineup.
Designed around the exterior color Mystic Green Metallic, the package features:
– Two-tone leather upholstery in Black and Delgada Green
– Matching seat belts and decorative stitching
– Embroidered Porsche crest outlines on headrests
– Izabal Green aluminum interior trim
The GT sports steering wheel includes a 12-o’clock marker and cross stitching in Delgada Green, while interior instruments such as the compass, power meter, and Sport Chrono stopwatch feature matching green accents.
Additional touches include silvershade accent package, center armrest embossed with “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur”, illuminated green door-sill guards and matching vehicle key finished in Izabal Green.

The 2026 Porsche Cayenne S Electric is available to order now with a starting MSRP of $126,300. The price excludes the $2,350 delivery, processing, and handling fee, as well as taxes, registration, and optional equipment.
