Karma Eximius 1 Unveiled As A Nearly 1,200-hp Bespoke Track Machine

Karma Automotive is taking its ultra-luxury performance ambitions to another level with the launch of Eximius, a new bespoke vehicle program that allows wealthy clients to commission truly one-of-a-kind cars. Its first creation, the Eximius 1, combines an aggressive carbon-fiber body, a four-seat track-focused interior, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain targeting nearly 1,200 horsepower.
Unlike conventional factory personalization programs, Eximius gives customers the opportunity to work directly with Karma’s design and engineering teams to modify a vehicle’s styling, performance, and powertrain. The result is intended to be a unique creation that will never be duplicated.
The first example, called Eximius 1, made its world debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas on October 31, introducing a considerably more extreme interpretation of Karma’s luxury performance philosophy.
A One-Off Creation With Extreme Design
The Eximius 1 is based on the design foundations of the Karma Gyesera, but its appearance has been transformed to create a much more aggressive machine. The roofline, greenhouse, lighting elements, and doors are carried over from the donor vehicle, while most of the remaining exterior has been redesigned.
The result is a dramatically wider and more muscular four-door performance car. Its body is finished in Borealis Blue, with exposed carbon-fiber sections and contrasting white graphics.
Almost every exterior detail serves a functional or visual performance purpose. A redesigned front bumper incorporates a prominent carbon-fiber splitter and enormous side air intakes. The hood features additional vents, while extended carbon-fiber wheel arches give the car a wider stance.
At the rear, a large fixed GT wing and an elaborate diffuser help generate stability and manage airflow at high speeds. Distinctive lighting elements also give the car a recognizable appearance, with Karma’s angular daytime running light signature appearing at both ends.
The extensive use of lightweight materials is another major part of the project. According to Karma, every exterior panel apart from the outer body surface is constructed from pre-impregnated carbon fiber. The vehicle is also 50 mm wider than its underlying design.
It rides on 21-inch magnesium wheels with center-locking hubs, finished in satin black. These wheels help reduce unsprung and rotating mass, while the wider track and aerodynamic modifications are intended to improve high-speed stability.
Nearly 1,200 HP From a 6.2-Liter V8 Plug-In Hybrid
The most remarkable part of the Eximius 1 is its powertrain.
Rather than relying exclusively on electric propulsion, Karma has developed an extreme-performance plug-in series hybrid system built around a 6.2-liter V8 combustion engine.
The planned powertrain combines approximately 550 horsepower from the gasoline engine with 645 horsepower from the battery-powered electric drive system. That brings the estimated combined output to nearly 1,200 hp.
This configuration is particularly interesting because a series hybrid system uses its combustion engine to generate electricity, while electric motors provide propulsion to the wheels.
Karma is targeting a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 2.7 seconds. The company also estimates a top speed exceeding 200 mph, putting the four-seat Eximius 1 in supercar territory.
Those performance figures are still manufacturer estimates, with the vehicle remaining in development ahead of its planned customer delivery in 2027.
To handle the substantial performance potential, Karma has equipped the car with carbon-ceramic brakes, two-piece slotted brake rotors, and Öhlins semi-active suspension.
The combination of high-output hybrid technology and motorsport-inspired hardware suggests that Eximius 1 is intended to be considerably more than a visually dramatic luxury coupe.
A Motorsport-Inspired Four-Seat Interior
The exterior’s aggressive character continues inside the cabin, where Karma has prioritized lightweight materials and a racing-inspired atmosphere.
The front occupants get Recaro carbon-fiber bucket seats upholstered in blue Alcantara and Italian leather, with contrasting Moondust Alcantara sections. Carbon fiber is also used extensively throughout the cabin, including the doors, steering wheel, seats, and center console.
All four doors are constructed from exposed carbon fiber, with simplified armrests designed around the car’s performance-focused character.
The flat-bottom steering wheel and billet-machined aluminum pedals further reinforce the motorsport theme. The instrument panel features glossy carbon fiber, while anodized billet-aluminum HVAC vents add another distinctive detail.
Interestingly, the rear passengers have not been forgotten. Eximius 1 remains a four-seater, with the center console extending into the rear compartment. A custom-fitted carbon-fiber racing helmet belonging to the commissioning client is mounted between the rear seats using a dedicated strap.
The interior also features an emergency kill switch, emphasizing that this is a track-oriented machine rather than a conventional luxury grand tourer.
Karma Eximius Will Create Nine Exclusive One-Off Vehicles
Eximius is more than a single special-edition vehicle. According to Carscoops, Karma’s new program will involve nine special clients, with each receiving an individually commissioned vehicle featuring unique styling and mechanical modifications.
The program goes beyond the personalization options already offered through Karma’s Studio program.
Customers will be able to collaborate directly with the company’s design and engineering teams, potentially changing the vehicle’s bodywork, performance characteristics, and powertrain configuration.
The objective is to create a genuine one-of-one automobile rather than simply offering different paint colors, upholstery materials, or optional equipment.
Eximius 1 is the first example of this approach. Its development began after a Karma Revero owner approached the company looking for something more extreme and unexpected than the standard vehicle.
Karma’s leadership sees the program as an opportunity to explore designs and engineering solutions that would be difficult to justify in conventional production models.
The commissioning client’s identity has not been disclosed.
When Will the Karma Eximius 1 Arrive?
The Eximius 1 made its world debut at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas on October 31, 2026.
However, the vehicle is still undergoing development in collaboration with its commissioning client. Karma expects to deliver the finished car in 2027.
Pricing has not been announced, although the extensive carbon-fiber construction, bespoke engineering, and nearly 1,200-hp hybrid powertrain suggest that it will command an exceptionally high price.
The company has not disclosed the final production specifications or detailed pricing for the broader Eximius program either.
A Different Direction for Karma Automotive
The Eximius program represents an interesting direction for Karma Automotive as it expands its ambitions in the ultra-luxury performance segment.
While the industry continues moving toward electrification, Karma is exploring a different approach by combining powerful combustion engines with electric propulsion in highly exclusive vehicles.
The Eximius 1 demonstrates how far that philosophy can be taken. A four-seat configuration, a 6.2-liter V8, nearly 1,200 horsepower, extensive carbon-fiber construction, and bespoke engineering make it an unusual proposition in today’s performance-car market.
It also gives Karma an opportunity to compete for customers who want something considerably more exclusive than a conventional luxury or supercar purchase.
Whether the remaining Eximius commissions will follow the same extreme performance formula remains to be seen. What is clear is that Karma intends to make exclusivity and individual expression central to its next generation of high-performance vehicles.
