Manufacturers utilizing a touch of nostalgia as a launching pad for advertising is a tale that’s oft repeated. At the SEMA Show 2026, Nissan is planning to use this strategy to showcase performance and personalization opportunities. The Japanese automaker will have three concepts as centerpieces in its booth at the Las Vegas event: a Nissan Sentra Spec-V, Datsun S30 (the original Z-car), and a Z developed by the Nissan Acceleration Team (NAT).

“Nissan has always had passionate fans who aren’t shy about telling us what they love and what they’d like to see next, and we love that – a lot of us at Nissan are enthusiasts, too,” says Kim Less, vice president of Aftersales & Customer Loyalty for Nissan Americas. “These projects are a chance to have some fun with that shared passion, take inspiration from our fans and our own teams, and show what’s possible with cars like Sentra and Z.”

Nissan Sentra Spec-V Concept
The Nissan Sentra Spec-V is a collage of Nissan’s greatest hits. Powered by a 300-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a stick-shifted six-speed manual transmission (sourced from a Nissan Juke NISMO RS), this concept evokes the adoration of JDM enthusiasts. Underneath, you’ll find custom NISMO coilovers, anti-roll bars, and a GT-R-sourced Brembo brake conversion. It’s finished with a custom body kit topped by a GT-R NISMO rear spoiler, 19-inch NISMO LM-RS1 wheels, two-tone paint job, and custom graphics.

Datsun S30 Restomod Concept
Nissan decided to let Formula Drift champion Chris Forsberg take a crack at this next concept. Forsberg took a Datsun S30 and stuffed it with a twin-turbo V-6 VR30DDTT (sourced from a modern Nissan Z) to create a car that marries old and new in the sacred bonds of speed and sentimentality. The undercarriage has also been upgraded with Techno Toy Tuning components that include an Evolved Billet Suspension Package, Evolved font and rear coilovers, GTX2 front control arms, front and rear sway bars, and more. The classic S30 carbon fiber body panels are accentuated by Serian Blue paint.

Nissan Project NAT2 SCCA Touring 2 Z Concept
Built for SCCA competition by an all-volunteer group of employees called the Nissan Acceleration Team, this concept is a purpose-built race car chocked full of NISMO and other aftermarket performance upgrades. Featuring the same VR30DDTT twin-turbo engine as the Datsun concept, this Z is ready to take on any and all challengers. NAT built this concept to SCCA Touring 2 specifications by upgrading the engine, suspension, and braking systems while stripping the interior, leaving only a seat, roll cage, and other safety equipment.

These concepts will be presented alongside the T-topped Z Kaze concept and yet-to-be-announced truck and SUV concepts. All of these vehicles can be seen at booth #21521 in Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 3-6, 2026.
