Detroit is playing host to the American Planning Association's annual conference this weekend, with roughly 4,000 urban professionals expected to gather there, reports Tim Keenan in DBusiness.
"Detroit is providing the stage for the nation’s largest gathering of urban planners at a time when communities around the country are grappling with housing supply shortages, aging infrastructure, and climate resilience," Keenan adds.
The conference will feature sessions on topics such as data centers, housing markets, small businesses, and public-private partnerships. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience almost 50 mobile workshops taking place throughout the city.
