Applications Open For Kenya’s Cleantech Innovation Competition 2026
Applications are open for the Cleantech Innovation Competition, an opportunity for university and TVET students in Kenya to develop and showcase innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
The Cleantech Innovation Competition is a joint initiative of the Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC), the Embassy of Switzerland in Kenya, SICPA, and partner institutions. It supports early-stage cleantech ideas and technologies with the potential to address local environmental challenges and contribute to Kenya’s green economy.
Selected participants can access accelerator support for business development and growth, access to funding and financing opportunities, skills training and capacity building, mentorship from industry experts, networking with industry partners and peers, and opportunities to showcase innovative cleantech solutions.
The competition is open to university and TVET students in Kenya with innovative ideas or early-stage solutions focused on addressing environmental challenges in the areas of renewable energy and energy efficiency, water and sanitation, agriculture, waste management, commercial forestry, and climate and environmental sustainability.
Applications are open here until August 10.
