Ascendri Launches Homeowners Mga In California

Ascendri , a newly launched managing general agency, is entering the California homeowners market with coverage limits of up to $10 million per home, targeting high value and complex risks. The MGA underwrites on behalf of rated carriers and distributes through agents and wholesalers, including Acrisure and Wholesure .

Ascendri’s launch was enabled by Acrisure . Acrisure also recently acquired Vave , an MGA for catastrophe-exposed property risks. Together, Ascendri and Vave have underwriting authority from $0 to $10 million of total insured value on behalf of excess and surplus lines carriers, with Vave focused below $3.7 million and Ascendri focused above. Vave conducts business coast-to-coast, and Ascendri plans to expand to additional U.S. states in 2027.
