Nigel Farage has unveiled Robert Jenrick as Reform UK's Shadow Chancellor just weeks after his shock defection from Kemi Badenoch's Tories.

Mr Jenrick railed against "decades of mismanagement" for the economy not working and promised to stand up for "alarm clock Britain".

However, Mr Farage opened his press conference by announcing his longtime ally Richard Tice would become Reform UK's Shadow Business, Trade & Energy Secretary.

The Boston & Skegness MP described the brief as forming a new "super ministry" and vowed to "get rid of the madness of what we call 'net stupid nezo".

Reform UK's policy chief Zia Yusuf is also now being tipped as Mr Farage's choice for Home Secretary.

Mr Yusuf accompanied Mr Farage as the pair set out Reform UK's Operation Restoring Justice plan to deport 600,000 illegal migrants from Britain.

The 39-year-old used today's press conference to send a direct message to illegal migrants in the UK.

Mr Farage's final Shadow Cabinet appointment saw ex-Tory Home Secretary take on the role of Shadow Education & Equalities Secretary.

However, the Reform UK leader promised more announcements would come over the coming months.
