French automaker Bugatti recently returned to Concours at Wynn Las Vegas to mark two decades of selling its hypercars in America.

Twenty owner-held models were displayed at the event, alongside Destrier, the newest one-off from the brand’s Programme Solitaire bespoke division. Since the Veyron arrived stateside in 2006, the U.S. has grown into Bugatti’s largest single market, served today by 12 dealerships and home to 353 of its cars.

“We introduced Veyron to the United States 20 years ago, beginning a journey that would far exceed our expectations,” said Hendrik Malinowski, managing director of Bugatti, in a statement.

“Today, America is our largest market, but what makes this milestone truly meaningful is not the number of cars we have delivered,” Mr. Malinowski said. “It is the people we have met along the way.

“The trust, passion and enthusiasm of our loyal customers and dedicated partners — for our hypercars and Bugatti’s Art de Vivre in general — have been central to our success, and this community will continue to inspire Bugatti’s future.”

Many of the collectors in attendance have owned the marque across several generations, from the Veyron and Chiron to the new Tourbillon. Destrier, conceived around a single client’s vision, took center stage.

The country’s weight in Bugatti’s business is set to continue, with one in three Tourbillon models destined for U.S. owners.

“For twenty years, owners and enthusiasts across the country have embraced the brand with remarkable passion and new customers join the Bugatti family each year,” said Sascha Doering, COO of Bugatti of the Americas, in a statement.

“It’s not only about the cars,” Mr. Doering said. “It’s about the people who share a passion for them.”

Last year, the automaker celebrated the Veyron’s 20th anniversary (see story).
