Comeryx Raises $7.5 Million

Comeryx Insurance, the new commercial insurance startup led by Pie Insurance co-founder Dax Craig, announced its official launch alongside a $7.5 million seed funding round led by Altai Ventures, with participation from American Family Ventures, Intact Ventures, Boulder Ventures, Arch Capital Group, and Echelon.

The MGA is building an AI-native infrastructure and AI agents designed to replace “clunky” manual processes with a zero-touch, automated experience. The startup is focusing on the small business artisan contractor market, a segment comprising over 500,000 U.S. businesses with under $10 million in revenue, according to Comeryx.

The startup will distribute its products exclusively through wholesale brokers and it expects to begin underwriting later in the year.
