Creating A Remote Patrol Bot To Check On Remote Home
I have a remote home that is very far away. As part of managing it remotely, I have a Roborock Qrevo Master. This mop vac has a patrol function where I can schedule the bot to move to designated spots, take four pictures per location (gives a 360 degree view). After, I can go to the app map, click on the locations and see all four pictures. I have 17 locations to check, so this gets a bit time consuming and a bother. What Is like to do is automate the process by uploading the pics to AI (likely Gemini) and have it compare pictures and provide a report or alert me if something has changed or looks different.
My 1st issue is to get the pictures off the Roborock robot. Has anyone done this?
Next is to.send it to AI and have it look at it properly, so a very specific prompt will need to be written.
Ideas?
To me this has the potential of changing the whole home monitoring business. The area where the house is located is very seasonal and maybe 50% of all homes are on a weekly or by monthly home inspection service.
