Eva Marie Outlines Conditions For Joining Another Wrestling Promotion

Is Eva Marie planning to join another wrestling promotion? She has some conditions before doing so.

Recently, speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, former WWE wrestler Eva Marie was asked if any other wrestling promotion had reached out to her recently.

Marie claimed that while other wrestling promotions expressed interest in her, she did not pursue a deal. Marie explained that she would require a major financial offer and some creative control before joining another company. The 42-year-old also emphasized that WWE still feels like a home to her.

“It was initially at the very beginning, and I kind of like teeter-tottered and thought about it, but it’s also like it would have to be done so good and then not trying to recreate an Eva Marie, and I feel like it was very much, WWE was my home.”

“And so if I were to do something like that, one, the offer would have to be incredibly good. It’s got to be a lot of zeros. It would have to be a lot of zeros, and it would have to make sense where I would have some type of creative control,” she said.

“That’s what I have learned in doing the business is that helps a lot if you’re able to kind of have a lot more input because a lot of us that are in WWE don’t. You’re basically hoping that the writers like help you to the fullest and make the storyline that’s like something that is so juicy and good and then you get a payoff.”

“And if you don’t get that, then it kind of kind of sucks for your character, too. So I never really took it any further with other companies,” she finished.

A part of WWE from 2013 to 2017, Marie parted ways with the promotion in 2017 after she began pursuing interests outside of WWE. She later returned for a brief run that lasted just one year in 2021, although she had reportedly signed her deal in 2020.
