Here’s Our Locks For Week Five Of College Football

While Ole Miss was getting skull drug, the Cup had a nice bounce back week with our picks.

We’re now back at .500 for the season with a 9-9 record, and with a bye week ahead, this could be an electric week of just anxiety free football watching unless you want to gamble. And yes we want to gamble.

There’s some great games on the schedule, but if you want to make money watching ball, sometimes you may find yourself on the ACC Network at 10 p.m. or ESPN+ at 1 a.m.

Here’s our locks you need to honestly probably even take out a personal loan with a guy named Vinny to put egregious amounts of money on this weekend.

Week Four CFB LOCKS

• Boston College (+21) at No. 21 SMU – The Mustangs are averaging 37 points per game, but the Eagles have been pretty salty even with their 2-2 record. With Bill O’Brien at the helm, BC has not been good, but it has already matched last season’s win total. I think the early kick and sleepwalking on SMU’s part makes this game closer than expected.
• No. 7 Alabama (-6) at No. 16 Miss. St. – I know, the Ole Miss blog picking against State who could have seen that coming? But the Crimson Tide have just been taking care of business lately, and I think MSU is set for a bit of a let down game in Starkville this week. It’s been almost 20 years since Alabama lost to MSU, and I’m not sure this is the year despite heroics from Kamario Taylor.
• No. 24 Kentucky (+3) at South Carolina – The Wildcats are battling with Miss. St. for surprise of the year in the SEC. The Gamecocks look to have seriously lost their way and potentially will be moving on from Shane Beamer before the end of the year. I think Kentucky finds a way to win this one.
• Arkansas at Texas A&M (-14) – The Aggies looked like hammered dog crap last week and that’s for two consecutive weeks. Luckily, the Hogs might be the worst team in the SEC, so this is a big get right game for TAMU at home.
• Arkansas St. at Louisiana-Lafayette (-6.5) – The Ragin’ Cajuns have a good offense that should put up points at home while the Red Wolves have been inconsistent this season to say the least. A night game in Louisiana will make this one get a little ugly with ULL winning by a touchdown or more.
