I Turned Around My 70 Year Old Mother's Business With Claude

My mom has been in the resume writing/career coaching business for almost 20 years. Revenue had been dwindling these last few years, probably due to the rise of AI. She had a website set up by a dev a decade ago on some archaic wordpress platform.

She had been using the claude app to manage updating it with the Claude extension, but it wasn't helping much.

I came home, decided we were going to move her off of that, got her a github and vercel account, and rebuilt the entire site in next.js in just a few hours with claude. Downloaded a couple seo skills from skills.sh, integrated some cool components from skiper-ui (check out the people moving across the screen), integrated Calendly for booking appointments. She made a bunch of changes herself, and then we moved over the DNS. Now she manages the site entirely by herself (well, with Claude's help!).

Her revenue has quadrupled in the last 2 months due to increased conversion and bookings.
