ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for a passionate and consumer-centric Specialist? Industrial Design to drive the creation of innovative product experiences across Atomberg's growing portfolio. The role will focus on translating consumer insights, emerging trends, and business needs into meaningful product concepts and manufacturable design solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong design thinking, hands-on execution, and cross-functional collaboration skills to deliver products that delight consumers and solve real-world problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Consumer-Centric Product Design

? Adopt ahuman-centereddesign approach to translate consumer insights into meaningful product solutions.

? Convert consumer trends, observations, and research findings into clear product opportunities and development directions.

? Actasastrong advocate for users and ensure user-centric decision making throughout the design process.

? Benchmark global products, technologies, and systems to identify new opportunities and innovations.

2. Concept Development & Design Execution

? Generate and communicate ideas through ideation, sketching, concept visualization, storyboards, and presentations.

? Develop concepts, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and early-stage prototypes for evaluation and validation.

? Create 3D models and physical prototypes to support design exploration and product development.

? Refine product form, usability, ergonomics, materials, and aesthetics to create differentiated experiences.

3. Cross-Functional Product Development

? Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Business teams to bring concepts to life.

? Present concepts, ideas, and design recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams.

? Workthrough technical, manufacturing, and business constraints while maintaining design intent.

? Support product development activities through closure and manufacturability

4. Product Lifecycle Ownership

? Participate in product development from concept generation through prototype development and production readiness.

? Identify and resolve design, usability, engineering, and manufacturability challenges throughout the product lifecycle.

? Drive execution with strong ownership, prioritization, and project management capabilities.

? Ensure timely completion of design deliverables while maintaining high-quality standards

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE

? M.Des in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.

? 3?7 years of relevant experience in Industrial Design and Product Development.

? Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design projects from concept to prototype/manufacturing.

? Hands-on experience in design research, ideation, sketching, 3D modeling, and prototyping.

? Proficiency in industry-standard design and visualization tools.

? Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and manufacturing.

? Strong storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

? First-Principles Thinking: Actively challenge assumptions and build new insights, solutions, and product experiences from the ground up.

? Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to thrive in unstructured environments and navigate evolving problem statements.

? Hands-On Attitude: Willingness to roll up sleeves, experiment, prototype, and actively contribute beyond defined boundaries.

? Managing Complexity: Ability to work seamlessly with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

? Attention to Detail: Strong focus on details across form, function, interaction, usability, and execution quality.
