Local Ai Seo Startup - Should I? Seems Like Yes, But Google Say Lots Of Competition

So I started a small service business in my local community, I'm learning a lot about SEO and then I thought hey maybe I should just do this for a living along with the service business.

I really think it's a great idea and even repurposed a local news website supporting it. I don't think I can link to it here, but the website itself has kind of evolved on its own from a news site into an SEO support site for my local business community.

I filled it up with Caleb Ulku videos and useful content, originally just for myself, and it turned into this thing.

That's what's left of the original post. The concept has evolved and I'm really hoping I can get some help with ideas and advice from this subreddit.

Using stuff I learned from YouTube, I ranked my service business in my hometown in something like 45 days. I've been incorporated for less than 30 days, so I can show people that and say look what I did. I've learned that from YouTube, I can do that for you.

I already have a faux News website for my hometown that is basically a stealth SEO machine and I'm working on making it basically educational for the local business community where they can learn all the DIY SEO stuff for themselves for free.

I have quite a few embedded videos from YouTube sprinkled in throughout all this information to make it as easy as possible for local business owners to understand.

Just giving the information away for free.

I want to make a series of very short videos explaining how local businesses can link to each other to increase their local SEO authority. In the description would be a checklist of all the core 30 concepts that Caleb Ulku talks about in his YouTube videos.

Of course, lots of links to the videos as well, I'm literally giving away all the information for free, after all, and I'm hoping that some of this stuff sticks, so they need to see it repeatedly.

The checklist will make it very simple, with very easy to follow things like joining the chamber of commerce, local authority links, everything I know is right there in one page as simple as it can be.

At the bottom would be my pitch for website building and ongoing SEO services.

Along the way I will repeat several times that I will sit down with them for free over a cup of coffee and look at their website and help them and that my motivation is obviously backlinks.

I will also throw in at least once in every video that my best advice would be instead of hiring me, try to find a nephew or a cousin or somebody that's really good at the technical side of things and social media and all that and get them to learn all this stuff really well and make it a career and then they can help the local business community and make good money at it. It's not hard to learn!

I want them to link back to me, I'm not beating around the bush, that is why I'm doing all this free, so that we can all link to each other and help each other create authority as a local business community.

If they want me to do the work for them, that's great and I can build them some websites and make some money, but if I can just help them improve their own local ranking, then that will help me in the long run as well as the local business community, and I am definitely okay with that.

They don't have to hire me me directly in order for me to benefit from their success, which is why I'm happy to help them for free for just a backlink, or several backlinks if it's a lot of help. And coffee, don't forget the coffee.

The more we help each other, the more we can improve our rankings together, and I think this is the concept that needs to be explained thoroughly in every video and on every page of the news website so that every local small business owner understands it.

Your local small business community can come together and share backlinks and create a powerful level of authority that most people never dream of.

Okay, anyway this is the entrepreneur subreddit, which is way cooler than the SEO subreddit, by the way. I have a lot more fun here and I learn a lot more here, so I'm hoping to get a lot out of this.

And don't be scared to critique my shit, this subreddit is not for the faint of heart, unlike some sissy subreddits that I won't mention.
