Locksmith Ppc — How Do You Benchmark Landing Page Performance?
Hey everyone, I run Google Ads search campaigns for a local locksmith business in a mid-size metro. Campaign has been running for a little while and I'm trying to figure out if my landing page is actually performing well or if I'm leaving money on the table.
I'm seeing a conversion rate north of 20% and my cost per conversion is in the mid-$30s range. Conversions are mostly phone calls.
I've seen some industry benchmark reports (WordStream, LocaliQ, etc.) that put locksmith/home services conversion rates around 10%, which would make my numbers look solid. But I don't know how much to trust those reports vs. what people are actually seeing in the field.
For those of you running PPC for locksmith or other home services (plumbing, HVAC, garage doors, etc.):
What conversion rates are you seeing on your landing pages?
What cost per lead do you consider "good" in your market?
How do you evaluate whether your landing page is performing well vs. just benefiting from high-intent traffic?
Appreciate any insights. Trying to figure out if I should be optimizing the page further or focusing budget on scaling what's already working.
