Managing Consultant - Hcbs

To support the advancement of opportunities for individuals with disabilities and older adults, the remote-eligible Managing Consultant - HCBS will lead multidisciplinary teams, provide consulting services to state and local clients, and conduct research to improve home and community-based services programs. Key responsibilities Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams to enhance state policy and programs related to long-term services and supports Provide consulting services, develop health policies, and assist clients with submissions to CMS and negotiations for new programs Conduct research and author technical documents, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations Required qualifications Master's degree in public policy, public administration, public health, healthcare administration, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) At least five years of experience managing complex projects or tasks related to healthcare or health policy Strong understanding of community LTSS programs, including HCBS waivers and Medicaid State Plan benefits Experience navigating federal regulations for community LTSS programs, including HCBS waivers and transitions from institutional settings Demonstrated ability to lead activities and manage tasks through the project lifecycle in a collaborative environment
