More Charges Added Against Drug Activist Mr Moloto Over The Burning Of Ex-lover's Rehab Centre

A Limpopo businessman and owner of the popular Limpopo Anti-Drug, Gangsterism and Crime (LADGAC) Rehabilitation Centre is facing additional serious charges after further investigations into alleged attacks on his former romantic and business partner.

Tsebe Phillimon Moloto, 51, appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court, where the State added charges of arson and five counts of attempted murder.

The charges were added to the two counts of malicious damage to property and trespassing that he was initially facing.

However, upon further investigation, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) added more charges.

Moloto was previously granted bail of R50,000.

The State alleges that Moloto and the complainant were previously involved in a romantic relationship and business partnership at the LADGAC Rehabilitation Centre in Seshego.

Vehicle allegedly set alight

Following the breakdown of their personal and business relationship, the complainant established her own rehabilitation centre.

It's alleged that on June 28, 2026, Moloto poured a flammable substance onto a Toyota Hilux belonging to the complainant while it was parked at her parents' home in Seshego Zone 3.

In a separate incident, prosecutors allege that Moloto set fire to a signboard advertising the complainant's new rehabilitation business in Ladanna.

Authorities estimated the damage caused by the incidents at approximately R800,000.

The case was postponed to October 30, 2026, for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to decide on the appropriate forum in which the matter should be tried.
