Patriots Vs. Broncos Ranked Among Best Games On 2026 Nfl Schedule
The 2026 NFL season is a month and a half away, and part of what makes the NFL regular season so great is the key matchups throughout the fall. This spring, Eric Edholm of NFL.com compiled a list of the ten best NFL regular season games, and the Denver Broncos made the cut.
The Broncos will face off against the New England Patriots in a Week 17 matchup that will be a possible revenge game for the Broncos, who lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game this past January.
“Their chance for revenge comes in the game at Gillette Stadium," Edholm wrote for NFL.com. "The Patriots were better on the road, going 9-0 including the playoffs last season, than they were at home, where they were 8-3. The Broncos, meanwhile, won six straight on the road to close out last season and have to feel that they missed a golden chance to make the Super Bowl.
"Nix also has unfinished business, missing the AFC title game with the injury and somewhat overlooked amid Denver’s success last season. He and Drake Maye are fellow members of the draft class of 2024, and this will be the first time they’ll face off in the NFL.”
Edholm has a great point, as the Broncos were without Nix due to an ankle injury suffered in the AFC Divisional Playoffs. However, this matchup could be great, with two AFC titans potentially battling for playoff positioning.
