Question About Small Business Seo?
Hello, I have a smaller home service business that I started earlier this year. I created a website, Facebook, and google business page. We were doing just alright when it came to listing on google.
I recently just got licensed in another trade and I am pivoting and adding that to my existing business.
I have changed the business name. Well, same name but different services.
Example:
OLD: Smith’s drain and plumbing
NEW: Smith’s Contracting.
My question comes with how google ranks your listing.
The business LLC was officially changed but i have not changed any online names yet. (Facebook, google business profile, website).
I do not have time to create a new website with the new name yet. But I still want to go live with the new name.
It is my understanding that the business identity needs to be uniform for google to push in search.
What are my options? Can I just unlink the website and act as if the business does not have one, until I make the new one?
I am stuck and I really don’t want to mess up with google not showing our business because i did things in the wrong order.
