The investment case centers on improving monetization, higher profitability, and investor interest in SPECS. Continued recovery in the core business and a Q4 2026 outlook above market expectations could support higher analyst estimates, while news around new products may provide additional support ahead of earnings.
Monetization in North America and growth in subscriptions provide a foundation for stronger operating results.
In Q2 2026, Snap’s revenue increased 19% year over year to $1.60 billion, approximately 4% above consensus expectations. North American revenue grew 15%, while ARPU increased 23% to $10.26, with the audience remaining stable compared with the previous quarter.
The improvement was supported by a recovery in spending from large advertisers, continued resilience among small and medium-sized businesses, and stronger direct-response advertising.
Other revenue also increased 85% to $316 million, supported by Snapchat+, Memories Storage and Lens+. Continuation of these trends could support Q3 2026 results.
SPECS and Intelligence provide an additional potential catalyst. Initial users of SPECS reported a better-than-expected user experience during the product presentation.
Snap is also developing an AI assistant that could operate on iPhone and Mac without requiring the purchase of a Snap device. This expands the potential audience for the service and reduces its dependence on glasses sales.
Further product demonstrations, partnerships and disclosure of monetization plans could support investor interest over the coming months.
Our rating is Buy, with a $7.50 price target and a recommended stop-loss at $5.75.
At approximately $6.42 per share, the $7.50 target implies around 17% potential upside.
