To Sell Or Not Sell My House

Card image cap

Hi all, long time anonymous browser first time poster. I'm in a real bind mentally. So for the past 10 years i have worked for my father's business (commercial site construction) i love it and it's honestly all i can imagine myself doing. For the past maybe two years things financially have been incredibly tough for my father as he had a bad break a few years ago and it threw him into a debt spiral that just doesn't seem to get better. So now here i am posting seeing what fellow Reddit users think of a solution i want to bring to him. I have owned my home for about 7 years now. I bought low at 205k due to the current market i should be able to get around 400k for the house. I have been seriously thinking about selling my home and moving back in with my parents (big house with plenty of room for me, my significant other and our baby on the way. To me while yea it'll be rough going back home to my parents. The money netted from the house sell would be enough to take care of my personal debt (15k) and give the business a boost to hopefully straighten things out.

Any opinions are welcomed and concerns as well. I'm kind of just stuck on a cross road.

Note: my father has no idea of this idea I'm just thinking it completely through before i even approach him with it and then that will become a uphill battle in its own of him agreeing to allow me to help in such a way.
