Wwe’s ‘main Event’ Moves To Rumble Tonight: How To Watch
Tonight, WWE’s Main Event makes its long-awaited departure from YouTube and arrives on Rumble, an alternative video streaming platform.
Main Event is a half-hour showcase of various mid-to-low-card wrestlers from WWE’s main roster broadcast every week. The show first began in 2012 as a way to give audiences extra wrestling content without advancing the main storylines of Raw and SmackDown.
The show has been airing consistently ever since, giving a platform to lower-tier wrestlers who may not have the dedicated fan base to earn appearances on WWE’s more mainstream events. Since the promotion of WWE business exec Triple H to the studio’s chief content officer, Main Event has begun increasingly giving a platform to NXT wrestlers.
NXT is a subdivision of WWE that houses lesser-known wrestling stars on the way to becoming superstars on the Raw or SmackDown rosters. This core change has made Main Event one of the most important features of weekly WWE viewing, as it’s gradually becoming the home of wrestling’s most exciting rising talents.
Earlier this year, Main Event moved to YouTube from its previous home on Peacock. The show also changed its format massively, removing all the Raw and SmackDown highlights that had previously been featured on the show and focusing instead on two or three exclusive matches in its thirty-minute runtime.
From October 14, 2026, Main Event will move to Rumble—but fans don’t need to worry, as the show’s structure will remain entirely the same. The move comes as a result of a brand-new deal struck between WWE and the video-sharing platform, which means it should be a long time before Main Event gets moved again.
This week’s WWE Main Event has confirmed its lineup in advance of the show’s move to Rumble, and it’s set to be one of the show’s most explosive matchups for a long time. The event will feature four exclusive matches between Raw and SmackDown superstars, giving fans an opportunity to watch some of the WWE’s biggest talents on display without the added weight of ongoing narratives and storylines.
The four matches are as follows:
Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria
Dragon Lee vs. Austin Theory
Rey Fenix vs. Kit Wilson
Nathan Frazer vs. Ricky Saints
This week’s WWE Main Event airs exclusively on Rumble at 8ET/5PT.
