Home health and hospice provider Frontpoint Health has undergone a leadership change, with Brent Korte stepping down as the company’s CEO.

Taking over from Korte is Jay Wendt, who most recently served as CEO at the durable medical equipment (DME) company Stance Health Solutions.

“I am thrilled to announce Jay Wendt to the Home Health and Hospice Industry,” Korte wrote in a LinkedIn post. “Jay is a Texan, who brings expertise in leading multi-site post-acute care organizations. He’s the right person for the job and one who will further elevate Frontpoint Health as we endeavor to expand our unique approach to Home Health and Hospice as an industry innovator.”

Backed by Cimarron Healthcare Capital and Tacoma Holdings, Dallas-based Frontpoint Health offers home health and hospice services across 176 counties in Texas.

Newly named CEO Wendt has also served as CEO of medical equipment company Martin Bionics and as chief operating officer at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), among other roles.

Korte, who has also served as an executive at EvergreenHealth and worked at multiple other home health and hospice organizations, held the top executive role at Frontpoint for just under three years. He will support Frontpoint as an advisor to the board, he wrote on LinkedIn.

“With over 4,000 patients, 1,200 team members worldwide, and a care model built for growth, Frontpoint Health is poised to continue innovating in home health and hospice both in and outside of Texas,” Korte wrote.
