Houseworks Acquires A Caring Experience

HouseWorks Holdings has acquired Rhode Island-based home care provider A Caring Experience, expanding its New England footprint.

The deal is HouseWorks’ first acquisition in Rhode Island, and marks its twelfth completed transaction since 2022, when InTandem Capital staked a majority investment in the company. 

“This partnership reflects our continued focus on aligning with high-quality, founder-led organizations that share our values and commitment to care,” Mike Trigilio, CEO of HouseWorks, said in a statement. “We are looking forward to supporting [founder and CEO Dean Denuccio] and his team with the resources, infrastructure and scale of HouseWorks while preserving the local leadership and culture that have made them successful.”

Woburn, Massachusetts-based HouseWorks provides home care as well as meal delivery, adult day and laundry services. It operates in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. The company serves 30,000 clients and employs 20,000 caregivers.

Cranston, Rhode Island-based A Caring Experience operates across all of Rhode Island and the surrounding areas, according to its website, and offers home care services including assistance with activities of daily living, companionship, meal preparation and light housekeeping. Founded in 1999, it operates a caregiver training school in addition to its home care services.
