Brooklyn Nets star Michael Porter Jr. revealed a funny story involving his former teammate Nikola Jokic and an unusual request.

Porter revealed that he once asked the three-time NBA MVP for dating advice about Slavic women since Jokic is from Serbia, but he never heard back from him.

"I just asked him, 'Yo, how should I approach this? What do they like? How are Slavic women?' He didn't respond," Porter said on the One Night with Steiny podcast.

Porter enters second season with Brooklyn

After being traded from the Denver Nuggets to the Nets last offseason, Porter Jr. will be entering his second season with Brooklyn.

Last season, the 28-year-old forward had the best season of his career, averaging 24.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3 assists.

He's also entering the final season of his current contract, during which he will earn around $40.8 million.

Prior to becoming a Brooklyn Net, he spent six seasons with the Denver Nuggets after being selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

In 2023, he was also one of the key members of the Nuggets' championship-winning team.
