Myron Gaines’ Ex Says Louis Theroux Questions Changed Everything
Louis Theroux’s latest documentary has sparked a huge reaction online, with viewers picking apart some of the most uncomfortable moments from Inside The Manosphere after it dropped on Netflix earlier this month.
The programme sees the award-winning filmmaker step into a world dominated by extreme male influencers, controversial dating advice, and deeply misogynistic views, with one of the most talked-about appearances coming from Myron Gaines and his then-girlfriend Angie.
Gaines, whose real name is Amrou Fudl, appeared in the Manosphere documentary as one of the online figures Theroux spent time with while exploring the so-called ‘manosphere’, and Angie’s appearance quickly became a major talking point among viewers.
At the time, she appeared on camera while Gaines discussed wanting multiple wives, with Angie admitting in the documentary, Tyla has noted previously: "The women that he sleeps with, he's just going to be with them for like, a night."
However, she later confessed: "I don't know how that will work."
Now, after the documentary’s release on Netflix, Angie has revealed that Theroux’s line of questioning actually played a major role in how she saw the future of their relationship.
Answering a commenter in a TikTok video that was later shared on X (formerly Twitter), she said: "I really think weirdly, I have to thank Louis Theroux, because… somehow… his questions kind of, like, made me question myself and the future of everything. And that is something that I truly hadn't done before. Not like deeply like I did after that. And part of it is what he's doing. So there is that."
Her comments appear to offer a much clearer insight into what was happening behind the scenes, especially after Gaines previously claimed the pair split because Angie wanted to start a family.
She has also since opened up about the aftermath of the documentary itself, telling followers in a recent video: "So I want to address a few things. First of all, I never wanted to be part of any documentary whatsoever. I was never told or asked to be in a documentary until the moment of.
"I was stupid enough to not read a contract before signing it, and that's how I ended up in that documentary."
Angie also claimed she ‘begged the producers on email thousands of times’ to remove her from the project, before explaining that she has since moved on with her life.
She said: "But this is my life, and honestly, as of right now, I couldn't be more grateful for it. I am so blessed, and I am so thankful to say that I am in a new relationship where I don't have to worry about any of this, and that I met this amazing man who cares for me, who makes me feel so special, makes me so happy, and I couldn't be more grateful for him."
She added: "I can finally say that I can see a future with somebody, and I'm so grateful that he can see a future with me."
