No Matter What You Do, You’re The Problem - Here’s Why. #relationshipadvice #datingadvice #dating

Men, ever notice how your mistakes are remembered but hers are dismissed? Share your thoughts in the comments.

No matter what you do, you are the problem. Or at least that is how it feels.

The rules are rigid when it comes to you. You are expected to show up perfectly, communicate flawlessly, and never repeat a mistake. But when you bring up something that hurt you, the response is quick: “Why are you living in the past?”

So you adjust. You try harder. You become more careful with your words, your tone, your timing. Then the one time you slip, it is held against you. Suddenly accountability matters again. Just not both ways.

This is where the double standard starts to wear you down. Her needs feel urgent and non negotiable, while yours slowly become invisible. You stop bringing things up. You overthink simple interactions. You feel uncomfortable in your own space.

That is not connection. That is imbalance.

A healthy relationship does not punish one person while protecting the other. It does not rewrite the rules depending on who made the mistake. And it definitely does not make you feel like you have to shrink to keep things stable.

If this sounds familiar, it is not about trying harder. It is about recognizing the pattern and deciding you are done playing by rules that were never fair to begin with.

Ready to break the cycle?
