Russell Crowe’s Blunt Dating Advice To Nicole Kidman Following Keith Urban Divorce

Russell Crowe has reportedly extended some blunt advice to Nicole Kidman in the aftermath of her divorce from Keith Urban.

Russell, who has been friends with Nicole since the 1990s, has urged her to focus her time away from the dating scene, according to a source at Globe Magazine.

They explained: ‘[Russell] has spent years of his life as a single parent without a partner, and he says he experienced a lot of growth during those times.

‘That’s why he’s warning Nicole not to dive headfirst into a new relationship to fill the void left by Keith’s absence.’

The insider revealed that ‘Russell’s secret to happiness and to dealing with the demons has been to focus on his children above everything else.’

According to the source, this is the advice he’s now bestowed upon Nicole.

Following Nicole and Keith’s split, it was widely reported that the Oscar winner ‘did not want’ the divorce, and was ‘fighting to save the marriage.’

The source continued: ‘You have to hand it to Russell because this is all coming from a place of genuine love and respect for Nicole.’

They claimed that Russell had also been trying to convince the Scarpetta star to spend more time in her native Australia, while recommending she works less and ‘lives’ more — something that Russell has reportedly been following since his own divorce from Danielle Spencer was finalised in 2018.

The insider said: ‘It’s going to be interesting to see if Nicole takes Russell’s advice to heart. She has been one of the most prolific producer-actresses on Earth for a while now, and her constantly working could not have been healthy for her marriage.’

They added that ‘Russell stays sane because he [now] has a much more relaxed schedule than Nicole has ever had.’

Suggesting that Nicole ‘refuses to slow down,’ they stated that Russell ‘thinks that might just be the key to her finding lasting happiness.’

Gladiator star Crowe separated from his wife, Australian singer Danielle, in 2012, with their divorce finalised in 2018.

The former couple first met in 1989 and began an on-off again relationship, before marrying in 2003. They share two sons.

As for Nicole and Keith, the pair were together for 20 years, married for 19, and welcomed two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

Their star-studded wedding took place at St. Patrick’s Estate in Sydney in June 2006 and was attended by their closest family and friends, including Russell.
