Travis Kelce Shares New Dating Advice Amid Latest Taylor Swift Wedding Rumors

As his wedding date to global pop music megastar Taylor Swift fast approaches, Kansas City Chiefs four-time first team All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce took to his New Heights podcast to offer fans his latest tips and how to ask a woman out on a date. Perhaps his relationship with Swift has had a positive effect on him, because his new advice was considerably more progressive than the tips he dispensed a decade ago.

Back then, Kelce was interviewed by Real Housewives of New York City cast member Ramona Singer, on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live, and some of Kelce’s dating tips at that time were rated R.

It makes sense that Kelce’s mind is on matters of romance. Rumors about details of his wedding to Swift have been flying, especially regarding the date which is widely believed to be June 13. As for the location, a report Friday by Reality Tea suggested that a site in Montana may be where Swift and Kelce will tie the knot.

What is Kelce’s New Dating Advice?

On a special Friday edition of the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by Kelce’s brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, the future husband of the world’s wealthiest female musician â with an estimated personal net worth of $2.1 billion â responded to a caller who asked for advice on how to approach a woman he hoped to ask out on a date.

âI think first you gotta figure out what do you like about her?â the 26-year-old Kelce advised the caller, as quoted by People Magazine. âYou like the way she looks? She likes the way she dresses? You like how funny she is? You like like how kind she is?â

What Other Dating Advice Did Kelce Offer?

Kelce went in to advise that, once the prospective suitor had figure out the answers to those questions, he then offer the object of his hoped-for affections as compliment.

âThat will get you in the door or at least,â Kelce declared. âYou gauge how she reacts to that and then that gives you a better understanding of whether or not she would be willing to go out with you. But that’s always a good conversation starter to let someone know that you like them.â

But when his brother offered a tip that their father, Ed Kelce had handed down, Travis Kelce rejected it.

“Find her unattractive friend and you befriend her and you start making her feel like sheâs interested,” Jason Kelce said, quoting his own father. But his younger brother slammed that dating advice as “bogus.”

âDo not listen to that advice. That is the 1950s way of dating,â the Chiefs 13-year veteran tight end said. “There’s no other way around it other than you just gotta just gotta do it, man. You just gotta own it. You gotta have some cojones. What’s the worst she’s gonna say? No?â

Kelce’s Previous Dating Advice

Kelce’s answers show he has come a long way since his interview with Singer 10 years ago.

In that exchange, Singer asked Kelce if he considered it a “dealbreaker” is a woman declined to go to bed with him after three dates.

âThe third date,â Kelce said at the time. âI feel like thatâs the breaker right there. Three dates, thatâs like the one.â

But Singer then scolded the Chiefs star and he attempted to walk back his dating rule.

âI mean, I donât want to say a deal breaker, but it would put some questions in there,â Kelce said.
