Variables Copied As A Block In Storyline, If Content Is Correct? Or - Layers?
Scenario: Training providers to complete a form
Set up: Text field variables on individual sections of the form
What I currently have:
Full form on one slide, with hotspots for each section of form. Click hotspot, get explanation of those fields, and use guided prompts to complete the form as directed. Upon completion of each variable, the field is updated. When section is complete, I want to do the following:
1. Check entry for each field and confirm it aligns with the expected entry.
2. Return the learner to the "full" form on previous slide, and show their answers on that slide.
3. Continue timeline to next form section that operates in the same way.
I have it working with each individual field for the first set of variables, but I am wondering for the long term if I should be:
a) setting trigger for ALL fields as a block? Is that possible? Rather than 10 triggers for the current section, PLUS 10 triggers for the original full form, per section....
OR
b) just put a layer with the correct information, since that will be checked, and once they submit it correctly, the completd, correct input version of the form shows on the initial page, and then triggers the launch to the next section...
This block will be embedded in Rise, for what it is worth.
I would love advice, suggestions, voices of experience as I build this one out.
Thank you!!!
