How Much Did Post-2020 Inflation Contribute To The Cost Of Living Crisis?

Card image cap

Okay im really sorry that this is not an ancap question, but quite frankly I don't know where else to post to get an accurate Austrian answer on this.

So if I'm not mistaken, since 2020, the U.S. money supply has increased by 7.84 TRILLION dollars. Inflation is up everywhere in the world, but if you live in the U.S., then you're aware of how housing costs have more than doubled. And between the rising costs of insurance, gas, food and other necessities, you have people making 100K a year and living paycheck to paycheck, or adults living with their parents well into their late 20s.

How much of this was caused strictly by the increase of the money supply after 2020? For example with housing, people will mention how zoning laws make it hard for developers to develop, or the fact that developers only build big family homes now, making it impossible for single young adults to buy homes. If 7.84 trillion dollars weren't added to the money supply, would independent living still be possible for people making less than 6 figures? Would we still have the America where people move out soon after they turn 18? Or are there other major contributing factors to the current cost of living crisis?

Thanks!
