Journeo Highlights Next Stop Announcement Longevity For Psvair

Journeo has launched Next Stop Announcement (NSA), which it describes as an all-in-one and integrated solution that offers a long-term solution for PSV Accessible Information Regulations (AIR) compliance.

The supplier says the NSA platform has been developed to support users “both now and in the years that follow.” It combines onboard hardware, automated content management and remote monitoring capabilities into a single system, reducing manual intervention and maintenance requirements.

Route and stop details are programmed and updated automatically, drawing on open data and the systems that operators already have in place. Timetable changes and route amendments flow through without manual reprogramming or additional depot visits from suppliers.

Journeo Director of Fleet Systems Mark Johnson notes how the coach and bus industry has been rapidly installing products to satisfy AIR, but that achieving initial compliance “is just the start, as once these systems are in place, they need to be maintained and updated to continue displaying vital passenger information.”

He believes that Journeo’s solution “offers an integrated system that is easy to install, run and maintain,” and that the supplier’s end-to-end support will not only ensure compliance, but that it will be maintained “with ease and reduced costs for the foreseeable future.”

Ipswich Buses has already fitted the Journeo Next Stop Announcement system to over 40 fleet members, including display screens, amplifiers, diversion switches, hearing loops and speakers as needed.
