Republic Bank-joynews Habitat Fair Mini Clinic Ends With Strong Turnout In Accra

The inaugural Republic Bank-JoyNews Habitat Fair Mini Clinic has ended on a high note at the Achimota Retail Centre in Accra after attracting large numbers of prospective homeowners, builders and people interested in improving their homes.

The three-day event, which ran from Friday, 21 August to Sunday, 23 August, was organised under the theme “Dream it. Explore it. Own it.” Republic Bank Ghana headlined the fair, which was powered by JoyNews.

The Mini Clinic is designed as a lead-up to the main Republic Bank-JoyNews Habitat Fair, scheduled to take place later this year. That event is expected to feature a larger exhibition, more exhibitors and expanded opportunities for Ghanaians seeking to own their dream homes.

At Achimota, visitors were able to access a broad range of housing-related products and services in one location. The event allowed patrons to examine products, compare prices and speak directly with established companies operating across Ghana’s housing and construction sectors.

The exhibition covered several areas, including building materials, home security, mortgages, interior decor and smart home technology. The range of options was aimed at supporting people at different stages of the home ownership process, whether they were starting construction, completing a project or furnishing an existing property.

A number of well-known businesses from Ghana’s housing value chain took part. They included Virtual Security Africa, Akwaaba Building Materials, Lesh Fortune Ltd, MTN Ghana, Door Masters, Ayuda, Western Villas, CTECHI Ghana Ltd, Saint-Gobain Ghana, Sintex Tanks, Interplast and Clifton Homes, among others.

Exhibitors used the fair to present products and services while also offering special discounts, flexible payment arrangements and free advice to visitors. Those attending the event over the three days were able to take advantage of last-minute offers, with sizeable reductions available on products ranging from building materials and water storage tanks to doors, tiles and other home-finishing items.

Republic Bank also provided mortgage advice on site. Visitors received guidance on how they could pursue home ownership through affordable financing options, giving prospective buyers an opportunity to discuss their needs directly with financial advisers.

Some patrons who spoke to Myjoyonline described the event as timely and useful. They said it was particularly valuable for young families and first-time builders seeking affordable and reliable housing solutions from a range of providers in one place.

The Achimota edition has further strengthened the Habitat Fair’s position as Ghana’s biggest and most trusted platform for home ownership.

With the Mini Clinic now concluded, attention turns to the main Republic Bank-JoyNews Habitat Fair later this year, which is expected to build on the strong participation and wide range of services displayed in Accra.
