Anywhere’s Sue Yannaccone Named Compass International Holdings Coo

Compass International Holdings (CIH), the parent company of Compass, @properties, Christie’s International Real Estate and the six Anywhere Real Estate brands, has promoted Sue Yannaccone to chief operations officer, according to an announcement on Wednesday. Yannaccone’s promotion comes a little over two months after Compass closed its $1.6 billion acquisition of Anywhere.

Yannaccone most recently served as the president and CEO of Anywhere Brands and Anywhere Advisors since 2020. In this role, Yannaccone oversaw both company-owned brokerage and franchise operations across the company’s six brands, including Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, CENTURY 21, Coldwell Banker, Corcoran, ERA and Sotheby’s International Realty. She has also previously served as the president of ERA and regional executive vice president of Coldwell Banker Realty. 

“We are building the most agent-centric company in the history of real estate, and Sue is going to make sure we do it the right way,” Robert Reffkin, the CEO and chairman of CIH, said in a statement. “Her experience, her instincts and her commitment to our people make her an invaluable part of what we’re creating.”

In her new role, Yannaccone will lead enterprise operations for the new holding company. This will include overseeing the strategy and implementation of scaled technology across the CIH ecosystem. 

“My sole focus is ensuring that every one of our 340,000 real estate professionals is benefiting directly from the strength of our combined organization,” Yannaccone said in a statement. “By leveraging the vast experience, technology and services combined with the distinctness of our nine brands, we have the unique opportunity to arm real estate professionals with everything they need to take their business to new heights.” 

Yannaccone was named a HousingWire Vanguard in 2021 and 2023 and a HousingWire Woman of Influence in 2022.
