After 14 years at the helm, Matthew Consalvo has announced that he will be retiring from his role as Arizona Regional MLS’s (ARMLS) CEO in the spring of 2027. ARMLS announced Consalvo’s decision to retire earlier this week.

According to the MLS, during his time at ARMLS, Consalvo has helped to modernize the MLS, advance organization governance and has contributed to the creation and advancement of industry tools like Monsoon Tax, RapidStates and Aligned Showings. In addition, Consalvo has also worked to expand ARMLS’s service area to include the communities of Sedona, Sierra Vista, Santa Cruz and Douglas.

“We are stronger together — together is the only way to move this industry forward,” Consalvo said in a statement.

Consalvo became CEO of ARMLS in 2012 after Bob Bemis stepped down. Earlier in his career, Consalvo worked for GE Security and Supra becoming part of ARMLS in late 2009 when Supra support moved in-house at ARMLS, serving as ARMLS’s director of support operations for roughly 18 months before becoming chief operating officer.

ARMLS said it is in the process of forming a search committee to begin looking for the MLS’s next CEO. According to the release, Consalvo plans to remain connected with the MLS industry after his retirement. However, he noted that he is looking forward to focusing on family and spending more time with his grandchildren.

“Today, we celebrate not just a retirement announcement, but the remarkable journey of a true mentor, industry leader and friend,” Chris Carrillo, the CEO of North Texas Regional Information Services, said in a statement about his colleague. “Matt is more than just a colleague; he embodies the best of our industry. His humility and almost clairvoyant intellect have guided us through challenges, and his unwavering commitment to our MLS community has left an indelible mark.”

ARMLS serves 38,000 members throughout Arizona.

Consalvo is also wrapping up his second three-year term as a member of the Council of Multiple Listing Services’ (CMLS) board of directors.
