Baird & Warner Launches Ai Assistant To Support Chicago Agents
Baird & Warner, No. 31 by transaction sides and No. 34 by sales volume on the RealTrends Verified Top Brokerage rankings, has rolled out Remi — an artificial intelligence (AI) support system designed to serve as a virtual assistant for the firm’s agents and managers.
Remi offers around-the-clock answers to client questions, property details, contract analysis, industry information, training content and internal documents.
“Everyone in residential real estate is talking about AI, but what we’ve built for our agents is far more powerful and intentional,” said Dean Rouso, senior vice president of strategic initiatives at Baird & Warner. “Remi is trained on all things real estate, including our company’s 170-plus years of data and knowledge on a block-by-block basis of Chicago’s 77 distinct neighborhoods and all of its surrounding suburbs, and the day-to-day realities of the real estate agent experience.”
Developed exclusively for Baird & Warner by BrokerBot.ai, Remi currently resolves about 90% of agent inquiries within minutes, according to the company.
The AI-powered system can respond by voice, desktop, chat or text and deliver information about contracts, advertising rules, office procedures and other resources.
Remi can also guide agents through tasks such as ordering photography through Baird & Warner Image Services and answer questions about state licensing laws and proper contract protocols.
“Agents don’t want to be told where to look to get answers; they want that information delivered immediately and directly to them so they can focus on serving their clients at the highest level,” said Laura Ellis, chief strategy officer and president of residential sales at Baird & Warner. “Remi gives our agents exactly that. The system is integrated into every facet of the brokerage process by understanding the way agents work and what they need at any given moment — providing fast and accurate answers in a matter of seconds, whether agents are in the office, at home, at showings or in the car.
“Remi will make an immediate positive impact on how Baird & Warner agents conduct their business and translate to superior service for our clients.”
Baird & Warner said Remi has already proved its value in testing.
In one example, a managing broker received an after-hours call from an agent who needed commercial contracts and forms but was unable to get home for more than an hour. The manager asked Remi for the materials and received the correct links instantly — allowing the agent to assist the client without delay.
The system also tailors responses to an agent’s office and can account for neighborhood-specific real estate rules and regulations.
For instance, Remi can determine whether a listing is in an area where for-sale signs are banned and advise the agent accordingly.
“It’s our deep understanding of real estate processes and the Chicagoland market — combined with the extensive resources needed to build an AI system with this level of customization — that makes Remi possible,” adds Rouso.
