Closinglock Launches Automated Closing Updates

Closinglock introduced new automation tools designed to improve communication and workflow management during real estate closings. Updates allow title companies, settlement firms and real estate law offices to send automatic status updates to transaction stakeholders.

The system connects directly with title production software — triggering updates when tasks are completed during the closing process. New automation is available on the ResWare platform with integration planned for SoftPro.

“Every real estate closing involves multiple parties working on different tasks at the same time — and often hundreds of thousands of dollars moving alongside that coordination,” said Closinglock founder and CEO Andy White. “When that much money and that many people are involved, clarity isn’t optional. Everyone needs to know where things stand. Automated updates and alerts keep everyone aligned.”

Closinglock said the system also includes a real-time tracker within a client dashboard that displays closing progress and upcoming steps for participants in the transaction.

“There is immense value in providing clients with more knowledge and reassurance throughout the transaction, while not adding to the workload for our staff,” said Sophia White, operations manager at Baillie & Hershman P.C. Law Offices. “I anticipate that the tracker would likely reduce some emails and calls to our staff regarding the status of a client’s file because they will automatically get that information from the tracker.”

The update also expands the platform’s connections with title production systems. Closinglock announced a new integration with Settlor alongside existing integrations with ResWare, SoftPro and RamQuest.

The integrations allow title professionals to open files directly from their title production systems while automatically syncing identity verification records payment receipts and signed documents.

The company also introduced updates to its document management system — allowing teams to store document templates within the platform — and expanded identity verification options.

“Our vision has always been bigger than any single feature,” White added. “Real estate transactions move money and information at the same time. Those things should live in the same secure platform.”
