Compass, Assurant Partner On Home Warranty Solutions

Assurant has launched a new home warranty product aimed at real estate transactions through a long-term relationship with six brands affiliated with Compass International Holdings.

The company says Assurant Home Warranty will be offered to about 300,000 agents across participating Compass brands — including Coldwell Banker, Century 21, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, ERA, Corcoran and Sotheby’s International Realty.

The move extends Assurant’s home protection business into the real estate sector, adding to its existing warranty and protection operations in mobile devices, automobiles and residential services.

The program is designed to integrate into real estate workflows through an agent-facing portal and is supported by a nationwide network of service providers and dedicated customer support. Assurant says the approach allows agents and brokerages to offer warranty coverage as part of transactions and maintain relationships with clients after closing.

Leaders add that the warranty offering is intended to help buyers manage repair costs while providing sellers and agents with an additional transaction-related service.
