Compass Names Shay Artzi Cto To Unify Agent Technology Platform
With the closure of its merger with Anywhere Real Estate now in the rearview mirror, Compass International Holdings (CIH) is looking to get all 340,000 real estate professionals under its all-in-one technology platform. On Friday, the firm announced that Shay Artzi will spearhead this effort in his new role as CIH’s chief technology officer.
“Our goal is to automate the busywork and empower our agents to focus on what they do best: building relationships and providing the human expertise that technology cannot replace,” Artzi said in a statement. “That’s how we help them grow their businesses more effectively than ever before.”
Artzi most recently served as Compass’s head of engineering. In this role he oversaw the launches of Compass AI and Compass One. He has been with Compass since 2021. He has also held leadership roles at IBM and Amazon.
“I’m confident Shay is the right leader to empower our real estate professionals with technology that helps them grow their businesses and better serve their clients,” Robert Reffkin, the CEO and chairman of CIH, said in a statement. “His vision is centered on building tools that elevate the entire community of real estate professionals and will continue to build technology that helps agents save time, grow their business and better serve their clients.”
Compass closed its $1.6 billion acquisition of Anywhere in early January 2026, forming CIH in the process. The firm has long been known for its agent platform and technology.
