FirstTeam is expanding into Arizona. On Tuesday, the firm announced the opening of FirstTeam Scottsdale.

“Our expansion into Arizona represents an important next step in our national growth strategy,” Michele Harrington, the CEO of FirstTeam, said in a statement. “This new office strengthens our presence in the Southwest and allows us to bring our agent-first model to a dynamic and growing market.”

In 2024, FirstTeam closed 5,831 transaction sides for a total sales volume of $6.03 billion according to RealTrends Verified data.

This new office will be led by former Sotheby’s Global Real Estate advisor Janelle Flaherty and designated broker Dan Peden.

Flaherty’s real estate career began in 2006, when she started serving both commercial and residential clients. In 2019, after years of working as a part-time agent, she became a full-time agent and specializes in equestrian properties throughout the state.

“Joining FirstTeam allows me to truly own and grow my business, while still having access to the leadership, infrastructure and marketing needed to compete at the highest level,” Flaherty said in a statement. “As consolidation reshapes the industry, FirstTeam offers the rare combination of independent autonomy and enterprise-level support, which was exactly what I was looking for at this stage of my career.”

According to the release, Peden will focus on commercial properties, development and luxury properties.

“Luxury buyers and sellers gravitate toward brands with a proven reputation and a clear point of view, and FirstTeam delivers both,” Peden said in a statement.

FirstTeam has over 52 offices and 2,300 agents nationwide. The firm now has offices in California, Idaho, and Washington and it is planning more expansion in 2026
